Budget Title: Instructional Support Associate (SL-2)
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000, (at 90% of full-time)
The individual hired for this position will provide instructional support in three areas: 1) the pharmacy technician training program (60%), 2) the MS/PhD/PharmD programs (20%) and 3) the TRUST program (20)%. The individual will be responsible for assisting with designing, implementing, delivering, and assessing the micro- credential program. They must be well-versed in pharmaceutical principles, medication dispensing, regulatory compliance and patient safety.
The Rural and Underserved Service Track (TRUST) is 2-year, interprofessional, co-curricular program, for students enrolled in Binghamton University (School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Social Work, Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and Division of Public Health) or SUNY Upstate Medical University (Norton College of Medicine). Currently, students participate in 8 learning retreats and 10 service-learning activities over the course of two years in a micro-credentialed program. There are approximately 80 scholars currently enrolled in the program, with representation from each discipline. The program aims to expand to other regional healthcare professionals with an asynchronous hybrid training platform in the upcoming years. The individual hired for this position will aid in the coordination and documentation of components of the TRUST program (retreats and service activities), troubleshoot and direct student questions, track student requirements, and collect and analyze program evaluations and metrics.
Our MS and PhD programs in Pharm Sciences launched in Fall of 2022 and offer didactic and laboratory coursework leading to careers in academic or industry research and beyond. The MS program may enroll up to 15 new students and the PhD program up to 7 new PhD students each year.
This position is a part-time position (90% FTE).
