Asst. Professor - Physics teaches courses in the discipline area of physics. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Physics provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Physics typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. What We're Looking For:
- Encouraging, thoughtful, dynamic personalities
- At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience
- A Bachelor’s and/or graduate degree in a science-heavy subject from a top 50 college or university
- Teaching certification is a plus
- Confidence tutoring regular AND AP levels of science.
- Able to commit a minimum of 6 hours per week for the 2022-2023 academic school year.
