Asst. Professor - Psychology teaches courses in the discipline area of psychology. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Psychology provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Psychology typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Externship Pre-Requisites and Requirements:
- 3rd or 4th year doctoral psychology student; exceptions may be made for a 2nd year student with prior clinical experience
- Deep cultural knowledge of Orthodox Jewish and Hassidic culture
- A commitment of 16 hours/week including 1 evening
- Caseload of 8-10 clients
- Required day: Tuesday plus one other day
