Centralia College is located on a 30-acre campus in the heart of Centralia, Washington and has been serving students in the Lewis County region since 1925. Centralia College is currently seeking applicants to teach SOC& 101: Introduction to Sociology at its program at Green Hill School in Chehalis. Green Hill School is a medium/maximum security fenced facility that provides older males sentenced to Juvenile Rehabilitation treatment with education and vocational training. This is an on-campus assignment at Green Hill with face-to-face instruction in the afternoon two days a week. The successful applicant must be available to teach Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Additional opportunities may arise in the future to teach online; at the college’s main campus in Centralia; it’s satellite campus in Morton, WA; within correctional facilities in the area; or in partnership with the Chehalis Tribal Center in Oakville, WA.
Successful applicants will need to pass additional screening and background review required by Green Hill School.
Sociology instructors are responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including Introduction to Sociology and Social Problems. The immediate need for Summer 2023 is to teach SOC& 101: Introduction to Sociology at Green Hill School.
