Asst. Professor - Special Education jobs in Massachusetts

Asst. Professor - Special Education teaches courses in the discipline area of special education. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Asst. Professor - Special Education provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Asst. Professor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and contributes to research In a specialized field. Special Education Summer School Teachers

  • From July 2, 2024 - August 1, 2024 - Tues/Wed/Thurs, 8.5- 16.0 hours per week. - Attend orientation meeting before the start of summer school. - Review and have a working knowledge of each student’s IEP. - Plan for instruction, and prepare classroom/learning environment. - Prior summer experience is preferred. - Must have valid MA DESE Certification for the appropriate level of instruction. - Must possess working knowledge of Massachusetts and federal special education regulations. - Experience working with students with disabilities. - Good communication skills, excellent writing and grammar skills. - Current restraint training is preferred. - Provide direct services to special needs students. - Record and submit student attendance. - Complete IEP progress reports and submit to Director after summer programming ends.
