The Assistant Athletic Trainer supports Stetson University by providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes. Serving as a member of the Sports Medicine Team, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will report directly to the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Associate Athletic Trainer in the Wilson Athletic Center. Candidate should be prepared to handle all medical referrals to team physicians as well as coordinate care in the prevention, clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate care, treatment, rehabilitation and reconditioning, organization and administration, and professional responsibilities that come with being a collegiate athletic trainer.
Work Environment: In this role, the Assistant Athletic Trainer will work in a fast paced environment both indoors and outdoors at times. This position will be located at times in areas of loud noise (i.e. music, horns, whistles, videos, etc) as well as flashing and bright lights (i.e. videoboards, light shows during games, etc).
