Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Athletic Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Athletic Trainer is directly responsible for working with athletes at Ogden High School as well as seeing athletes in the clinic setting. This position will also offers the exciting opportunity to work with the City of Ogden in all athletic recreational pursuits involving all ages - from the littles to the elderly!
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Graduate of an accredited ATC program
Bachelor Degree from CAATE
Nata BOC Certification
State licensed and Driver's license
New Grads welcome
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Working with local high schools to take care of athletes
Concussion checks and protocols with C3 logix
Communication with Coaches, Athletic Directors and Parents
Working in the clinic to manage patients in Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy
