Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Athletic Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Athletic Trainer will direct all activities at Bellmont High School athletic training, cover all home athletic events, away events when possible, provide after school coverage, coordinates injury rehabilitation and return to participation with area physicians, coaches, and injured athletes. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for writing and maintaining athletic injury reports, maintaining and storing supply and equipment inventory. The Athletic Trainer will perform these duties throughout all three IHSAA athletic seasons.
Will assist in the AMH Rehab department and AMG Ortho Office.

Requirements:
Valid Athletic Trainer License in the State of Indiana
Bachelor Degree required
Valid BLS/CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
