Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Athletic Trainer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     We are looking for a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) for an industrial role in Lansing. This position is 30 hours per week (3-10s), no weekend work or team travel required. This position offers full benefits. The ideal candidate must be NATA certified and hold (or be eligible for) a Michigan license.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    The key responsibilities for this position are providing the following:

    • Injury prevention (including ergonomic evaluations and Job Hazard Analysis evaluations)
    • Injury evaluation and treatment
    • Employee wellness education along with associated activities

    This position is a critical component of the Safety and Health programs at this industrial facility. Additional duties vary depending on the needs of the facility. Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional, caring persona are required.

    Qualifications and Skills

    BOC certification

    Michigan ATC License or eligible

    All major benefits (PTO, Health, dental, vision, 401K). No Weekend work.

    Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
