Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Athletic Trainer (ATC) is responsible for providing athletic training services to student athletes within the scope of their license under the direction of a physician and within the guidelines of the contract. The ATC may also function as a DME Specialist in the clinic setting during off-season or if they have a part-time school contract.
