Athletic Trainer treats and prevents athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Being an Athletic Trainer may require state license to practice. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in exercise science, sports science or equivalent. Additionally, Athletic Trainer typically requires certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer. Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas, approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964, CCC now serves more than 2,400 students annually.

Colby Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Athletic Trainer. The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and Athletic Director and is responsible for assisting in the direction of all aspects of the athletic training program. This position exists to coordinate the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by student-athletes in 11 varsity sports. Colby Community College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
$40,000-45,000
