      Who We Are:
      Waukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 15,500 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. The District has 1 early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9th – 12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

      Organizational
      Relationship: Directly responsible to the Athletic Director General Duties:
      1. To perform the assigned secretarial and clerical functions necessary for the effective, and efficient operation of the Athletic Office.
      2. To act as a liaison between the public and the school system and in so doing promote the general image of the school system.
      3. To promote educational enterprise through service to teachers, coaches, students, public and administrators.

      Specific Duties:
      1. Welcome and assist parents, students, coaches, teachers and administrators. 2. Answers phones, takes messages, and sets appointments for all athletic department personnel and coaches.
      3. Collects and distributes incoming mail for Athletic Department Personnel. 4. Strong computer proficiency required.
      5. Type letters, reports, etc. for athletic personnel. Responsible for all correspondence, requisitions, programs for weekly contests, roster eligibility lists each week, and sports fees.
      6. Maintains athletic office bulletin board(s) in each building with up to date athletic announcements, in season information.
      7. Creates, copies, and scan athletic documents as necessary.
      8. Responsible for scheduling transportation for all athletic teams to athletic events.
      9. Works closely with the Bus Company and district office for athletic transportation needs.
      10. Facilitates the running and distribution of athletic eligibility reports.
      11. Maintains student athletic eligibility records for WHS and IHSA.
      12. Assists with maintaining up to date schedules, rosters, scores, and team news.
      13. Responsible for ordering and maintaining the proper inventory of awards, certificates, pins and letters for our student athletes.
      14. Distributes and maintain accurate records of athletic awards.
      15. Assist with the development of the athletic budget and input requisitions as needed.
      16. Maintain and order office supplies and printing orders.
      17. Responsible for Athletic payroll, event workers and officials.
      18. Maintain yearly subscriptions for contract renewals and any new contracts.
      19. Maintain accurate records of Athletes and flags in Infinite Campus.
      20. Assist the Athletic Director with PE and Driver’s Education Department requirements.
      21. Maintain accurate and updated information in the Athletic platform.
      22. Perform all other job related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director

      Qualifications/Requirements:
      1. Good Communication, organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills required.
      2. Preferred ability to work with data from multiple computer environments, district-wide networked systems.
      3. Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively and prioritize strategically.
      4. Ability to interact with teachers, parents, outside agencies, and central services staff.
      5. Ability to plan, organize, schedule and manage documents in a timely and effective manner.
      6. Ability to do record keeping.
      7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with the public.
      8. Must have a High School Diploma.
      9. Ability to travel within the District on occasion.
      10. Preferred Business and accounting background.
