JOB DESCRIPTION
California Strong Athletics is looking for a full-time Director. Cal Strong is a community first gym and currently specializes in gymnastics. We also have been growing our boy’s and girl’s Recreational gymnastics, Tumbling and Kindergym programs; currently at 100 kids throughout all programs and growing. We are looking for a growth minded, high-energy, highly organized individual with solid coaching and communication skills. This person will learn the ins and outs of the business and help contribute ideas and plans of action towards the future growth of Cal Strong.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Three plus years of coaching experience
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships with parents, children, staff and the community.
● Detail-oriented and proficient in maintaining accurate records.

RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work an average of 32 hours a week between coaching, office hours, Camps or Events (there will be times of the year that hours in the gym are not as demanding and times of the year hours in the gym are more demanding). The success of camps, events, class enrollments and retention is a key indicator on 50% of Bonus (total potential of annual bonus $5000)
● Monitor KPI (key performance indicator) targets throughout the Rec. gymnastics, Tumbling Kindergym program, and Events
● Coach at least 2 classes a week in each program.
● Help maintain cleanliness of gym with CSA coaching staff
● Promote a positive team environment and program with approved posts on social media
● Work with the business manager on lesson plans and staff trainings
● Attend weekly meetings with BM
● Manage & communicate attendance, level promotions, enrollments, drops and trials with staff.
● Assist with set up and take down at Cal Strong Hosted meets, other events and future renovations

Overview and vision of this Position:
As the Program Coordinator you will oversee all recreational programs and events. This will start with being involved in each aspect of the program (coaching, training, communicating with families and more). As you delegate tasks, keep in mind that you will be responsible for those who take them on and the execution of that task. As you learn the Values and Mission of Cal Strong, your opportunity to bring on new staff and delegate tasks (coaching classes, running events, etc.) will open up. You will have full support of Cal Strong as your vision develops and brings ideas to the table or needs come up.

A decade of experience in the industry has taught me many values and attributes; however, the one I am most focused on now is balance.
