Job Description

Loretta Riddle, Attorney at Law is seeking a Paralegal Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, case management, and appellate work.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare witness lists and schedules.
• Coordinate with trial attorneys on depositions, hearings, and other related matters.
• Prepare witness lists and documents for court appearances.
• Prepare legal research and case management documents.
• Manage attorney calendars to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Maintain client files in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by the managing attorney or senior staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of related paralegal experience required; more preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail required; ability to perform specialized tasks such as preparing motions and briefs in a timely manner required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required; ability to conduct legal research and document production required; ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $10.50 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
