Additionally, Attorney represents the organization in litigation, negotiations, and other matters where legal counsel is required. May have a billable hours requirement. Requires a JD. The Attorney General’s Community Engagement Division (CED) aims to fulfill the Office’s mission to serve all people in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in every one of its diverse communities. CED assists in expanding the reach of the Office and supporting efforts to ensure legal and advocacy work is informed by and reflects the needs of the communities and residents of Southeastern Massachusetts.
The Division works to establish a bridge between the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), community members, and organizations across Massachusetts so that every resident has access to the Office’s services. To this end, the Division works with all bureaus in the Office to develop engagement strategies, training, information sessions, clinics, and public presentations on a wide variety of topics.
Primary Duties: The Community Engagement Coordinator for Southeastern Massachusetts is responsible for:
