Overview:
TENAX is seeking an Audio-Visual technician to service primarily the Aberdeen Proving Ground Area. The Audio-Visual technician will install and configure commercial audio visual equipment, perform periodic preventative maintenance checks, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. AV related skills such as cable termination of CAT6, XLR, Serial DB9 connectors etc. are preferred. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of computers and some knowledge of IT related items.
The ideal candidate will have experience with some of the following brands:
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot audiovisual systems
- Perform software troubleshooting on various AV equipment
- Read and interpret schematics and electrical drawings
- Provide field service support for audiovisual systems
- Assist with cabling and wiring installations including cable termination
- Utilize hand tools to assemble and disassemble AV equipment and racks
- Maintain and repair computer hardware related to AV systems
- Manage AV inventory
Requirements:
- 3-5 Years experience in AV related field
- Working knowledge of IT and Computers
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hand tools for equipment assembly
- Strong understanding of computer hardware maintenance
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to crawl/stoop/squat when installing equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (Active Clearance preferred)
