AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN
The Audio-Visual (AV) Technician will be responsible for providing the company’s standards for exceptional customer service to both our internal and external guests. The AV Technician will be responsible for setup, operation, and breakdown of all special event audio, lightening, video, internet equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive to this position.)
- Participate in all departmental and company meetings.
- Must have a strong knowledge of all AV equipment.
- Must maintain and care for property and rental equipment.
- Must effectively calculate electrical for all AV equipment usage.
- Effectively and safely work with high voltage electricity.
- Ensure all audio and visual needs are properly setup in a timely manner for all property events.
- Deliver the company’s Pack standards when interacting with all internal and external guests.
- Provide recommendations to gain the best experience for the guests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and or technical problems.
- Clean, sanitize, update equipment as needed.
- Effectively work side by side with the Catering Sales Manager and Director of F&B for all special events at the property.
- Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and Company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
- Handle routine guest complaints and incidents and exhibit the appropriate discretion to identify situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel - seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- 2 Years experience in audio visual, production or as an IT technician, required.
- Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

All team members are required to comply with all appearance and grooming standards outlined in the Queen Casino & Entertainment Inc. General Rules, Procedures and Policy Handbook.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL EFFORTS
The hospitality industry is a 24 Hour 365-day operation.
This position will primarily be indoors under controlled temperatures.
Occasional exposure to outdoor climates
Frequent: standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, pulling, pushing, and with repetitive movement of fingers, legs, arms, and hands and lifting up to 50 pounds
Occasional: sitting
