Audio Visual Technician responsibilities include installing, configuring, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting audio visual equipment. Performs production editing, routine maintenance, and inventory tracking. Being an Audio Visual Technician coordinates with clients on placement, integration, and ensures functionality of projectors, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording and video-conferencing equipment for live events and meetings. Responds to and resolves routine questions and technical issues. Additionally, Audio Visual Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Owner and Operations Manager, prepares, installs, operates and maintains lighting, video, sound systems and other equipment for the Company. The work would mostly consist of Warehouse work (prepping and de-prepping events) and Event work (executing events).
Formal Education Required:
High School Diploma. Degree in technical theatre or touring production preferred.
Experience and Training (preferred):
- 1 or more years in the entertainment industry working with lighting, sound, video and computer equipment
- Experience in staging and rigging
Required Skills / Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge in one or more of the following disciplines: Audio, Video, Lighting
- Ability to communicate or present information effectively to both internal staff and clients
- Desire to learn new technologies and become competent in all aspects of audio visual services offered by Raise The Roof Entertainment.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to retain technical information on technical training received
