Audio Visual Technician responsibilities include installing, configuring, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting audio visual equipment. Performs production editing, routine maintenance, and inventory tracking. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and aid provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.
· Work closely with other departments, team members and clients to ensure successful events.
· Prepare work sheets for the shift. Sign-in temp labor and issue keys and radios. Review previous shifts log.
· Conduct inventory control check and receiving run as needed.
· Coordinate and check all AV requirements for all rooms. Assign projects as needed. Create/update worksheets for next day using Banquet Event Orders.
· Set-up/teardown AV equipment for standard meetings. Set-up/teardown equipment for special events on property—including electrical distribution.
· Check/operate/maintain equipment in the Chickie’s and Pete’s, Race & Sports book, Restaurant Row, Tournament Areas, and Give-away areas. Preview upcoming jobs and set-ups for equipment requirements.
· Set-up/maintain/teardown scenery, props and draperies for theme parties, special events and banquet support. Set-up/maintain/teardown trade show electrical, signage and scenery.
· Set-up/operate/teardown larger shows, concerts, and general sessions. This includes full lighting, full audio, and full video set-up.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Experience in nightclub Audio, Video and lighting.
· Ability to work long hours in a high energy environment.
· Must be able to meet physical capability requirements and HR screening processes.
· Will need to successfully pass the OSHA 30 certification
· Must be Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights and weekend hours
QUALIFICATIONS
· High School Diploma required.
· Aerial Lift Certification Required
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
· Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test required.
