Job Description:
PVPA has an opportunity for a dynamic full time Visual Arts Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are looking for an artist with a strong personal practice, to share their passion with students from 7th to 12th grade. The visual arts curriculum is focused on building a strong understanding of design that connects all visual media. This educator will work primarily with 7th and 8th grade students who will be assessed through a variety of methods using standards based grading system with the goal of supporting and challenging each student. Salary Range: Full time $42,000 to $66,705 annually. Additional $1,000 stipend for individuals who hold a DESE license in subject area and potential for bonus at the end of the fiscal year.
2024-2025 school year consists of 180 school days plus 5 professional development/curriculum work days and a thirty-five hour work week that includes, on average, three class blocks per day of collaborative/independent work time.
