Audio Visual Technician responsibilities include installing, configuring, operating, disassembling, and troubleshooting audio visual equipment. Performs production editing, routine maintenance, and inventory tracking. Being an Audio Visual Technician coordinates with clients on placement, integration, and ensures functionality of projectors, lighting, microphones, sound mixing, recording and video-conferencing equipment for live events and meetings. Responds to and resolves routine questions and technical issues. Additionally, Audio Visual Technician may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Audio Visual Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job.     DESCRIPTION OF POSITION/DUTIES:


    The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at the Davis Conference Center, MacDill AFB FL. The Davis Conference Center hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1630. This position requires an active and current United States Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance (or higher). 
    • Setup and operation of A/V and Information Technology (IT) equipment (including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for events, meetings, conferences, presentations, and news conferences) in an executive environment.
    • Ensure that complete customer satisfaction is achieved and is accountable for all inventory before, during and after each event.
    Support includes the following:
    • Perform equipment storage and transportation activities in a safe and secure manner.
    • Setup and operate audio visual equipment for training, presentations, meetings and conferences.
    • Assist customers in the operation of audiovisual equipment.
    • Set up configure AV equipment racks.
    • Set up and alter room arrangements including tables, seats, and stages according to layout diagrams and schedules.
    • Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements, and inspections.
    • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
    • Operate and control lighting and sound systems.
    • Provide unclassified and classified Video Teleconferencing (VTC) services for the DCC.
    • Test equipment prior to events to ensure it is in reliable and safe condition.
    • Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid shortages.
    • Make recommendations for equipment purchase, system design, and facility utilization.
    • Organize and maintain compliance, licenses, and warranty information related to audio and video equipment.
    • Compile technical information or documentation and maintain records, documents, or other files.
    • Provide technical data and system drawings for SVTC system accreditation when required.
    • Utilize Hirsch Velocity Software to create security code for each conference NLT 24-hours prior to project officer’s arrival or start of the event, whichever occurs first.
    • Provide initial and recurring training to educate new DCC staff members and contractor personnel to a level commensurate with their duties and responsibilities.
    EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or minimum five years related experience
    YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
    • 5 Years
    SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
    • This position requires an active and current United States Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance (or higher). 
    • Strong Data and Cost Requirements Analysis skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
    • Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
    • Strong desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
