Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     • Matrix Providers is hiring a Audiologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams, onsite, in Lincoln, NE.
    • Full-time, hourly position paid bi-weekly.
    • 4 days per week (32 hours per week) M-F 8:00am-4:00pm.

    In addition, the Audiologist has the ability to complete paperwork remotely on occasion, has a low patient load, with no weekends, no on-call, and can be licensed in any state.


    Requirements: The Audiologist must have and meet the following. hold an active and unrestricted Audiologist license in any state. Possess a master's or doctorate from a program accredited by CAA, ACAE, or ASHA certification.

    Job Summary:

    • Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment audiology compensation and pension exams for Veterans.
    • The audiologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
    • Perform a Comprehensive audio exam to assess hearing loss or tinnitus.
    • Standard testing includes Pure Tone Air and Bone, tympanometry, acoustic reflex, testing, and speech recognition.
    • All equipment necessary to perform duties will be available on location with custom soundproof booths.
