Audiologist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a variety of hearing, balance, and ear disorders. Administers and interprets a variety of tests, such as air and bone conduction, speech reception, and discrimination tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech. Being an Audiologist evaluates test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical information obtained from patients, families, teachers, and other professionals. Reviews charts, test results, and other patient data to understand issues and develop treatment programs to alleviate symptoms and treat disorders. Additionally, Audiologist monitors and evaluates treatment progress and adjusts care plan as necessary. Programs, fits, and adjusts hearing aids for customers. May require Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) in some states. Requires a master's degree in audiology. Typically requires Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A). Requires State License based on Clinical Specialty. Typically reports to a manager. Audiologist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are looking for an experienced, part-time, traveling Audiologist to join our amazing team of mission-driven individuals, helping us to disrupt the hearing aid industry, while keeping the customer in the forefront.
Locations:
Northern California. This person will work out of a DOC clinic in either Susanville, CA or Crescent City, CA, or both if willing to travel.
Who You Are
A forward-thinking, empathetic, Audiologist with a California license with a devotion to quality customer service and a passion for helping others hear.
Must have an active California Audiology License (or the ability to apply for one immediately) and hold a Masters or Doctorate of Audiology from an accredited university. At least 1-3 years of experience in a clinic. Experience working with veterans and/or a diverse patient population is a big plus.
