Auditing Director executes a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Being an Auditing Director engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Prepares audit reports and recommends enhanced controls or processes as needed. Additionally, Auditing Director builds auditing teams and expertise with coaching and developmental initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). May sometimes require Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Typically reports to a director. The Auditing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Auditing Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     What We Need...

    The HCC Auditing Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of charts coded by HCC Coders. In this role, you will review charts following client-specific guidance and ICD-10 guidelines to ensure precise coding and compliance.

    Responsibilities
      Provide education through detailed feedback within audits.
    • Provide coders' on-going education for any identified missed/incorrect ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes or incorrect/missing/inappropriate client-based notes.
    • Maintain communication with both Coders as well as management on errors, trends, educational opportunities, etc.
    • Report specific coding findings found on coder QA reviews into the organization's weekly coding round table discussions with the coders as well as the coding division's newsletter
    • Complete other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • What You Need...

      • 2 years of HCC coding experience
      • 1 year of HCC Auditing experience
      • High school diploma or GED equivalent
      • AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC).
      • Proficient in ICD-10 coding.
      • Experienced in HCC coding across Medicare, commercial, and Medicaid sectors.
      • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
      • Ability to excel in a fast-paced production environment while upholding high-quality standards.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, adeptness in remote work, and exceptional time management skills.
      • Working knowledge of the business computer hardware and software to enhance data processing effectiveness and security.

      Ability to be able work on multiple client projects

      To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the state in which you will be working, exemptions may be available on the basis of disability, medical contraindications to the vaccine or any of its components, pregnancy or pregnancy-related medical conditions, and/or religion.

      For remote work, this position requires that you provide a high-speed internet connection, subject to applicable expense reimbursement requirements (if any), and a work environment free from distractions.

      Pay ranges for this job title may differ based on location, responsibilities, skills, experience, and other requirements of the role. Pay range is between $29-33 an hour
