Auditing Director executes a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Being an Auditing Director engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Prepares audit reports and recommends enhanced controls or processes as needed. Additionally, Auditing Director builds auditing teams and expertise with coaching and developmental initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). May sometimes require Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). Typically reports to a director. The full-time Director will be pivotal in driving community engagement, advocacy, and financial stability for the chamber. This role creates and implements programs, events, and initiatives that support our members, promote our community, and foster strong government relations. Effective time management is crucial for success.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cultivate meaningful relationships with businesses and community organizations.
· Monitor and advocate for local and state policies affecting our community.
· Build relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advance the chamber's objectives.
· Manage and improve the chamber's membership program, focusing on retention and benefits.
· Assist members with their business needs and connect them with relevant resources. Tailor membership solutions that align with their goals.
· Plan and execute a select number of high-impact programs that provide value to members and promote local industry.
· Calendar all events & schedule in Chambermaster.
· Coordinate website updates with web design company.
· Send out all events and member events in Constant Contact & Meltwater (social media platform).
· Effectively manage the chamber's budget and seek funding opportunities to support critical initiatives.
· Work closely with the Chamber’s accountant agency.
· Enter transactions in the Chambermaster member database.
· Enter deposits in QuickBooks.
· Schedule Monthly Board meetings.
· Work with the President & Secretary on the agenda.
Qualifications:
Working Hours: This is a full-time position, with some flexibility required to accommodate chamber events and activities.
