Auditing Manager jobs in Huntington, WV

We are looking for an experienced Certified Public Accountant or Enrolled Agent to join our team. Our ideal candidate should have four or more years of public tax and accounting experience that can fill an immediate need in our Milton and Hurricane, WV locations. This individual should be prepared to work as a team member, but willing to take the lead, review projects and engagements, review time and invoice accordingly, and perform managerial duties.

Responsibilities Include:

• Build and maintain current and prospective client relationships ensuring that our clients are provided with high quality service.
• Lead assigned client engagements from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and completion. Services included, but not limited to, the following:
• Tax preparation, compliance, and research
• Financial compilation and review engagements
• Payroll preparation and compliance
• Bookkeeping and data entry
• Business consulting and planning
• Review client engagements and make any necessary recommendations regarding accuracy, compliance, and other learning opportunities.
• Prepare and review tax returns for simple and complex individuals, trust, partnerships, corporate and nonprofit tax clients.
• Research and consult with management on various client-related tax matters.
• Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax agencies on a timely manner.
• Participate in networking and business development activities on behalf of the firm.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications Include:

• CPA License in the State of West Virginia
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Four years plus of public accounting and tax experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently as well as a team member
• Previous tax return preparation experience is required.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters products preferred.
• Ability to consistently exercise good ethical judgement in dealing with a variety of issues and situations.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
