Auditing Project Lead jobs in Queens Village, NY
Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are currently searching for Lead Abatement Project Inspectors for projects throughout the five boroughs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee lead abatement/disturbance projects
- Inaction with clients and contractors to determine daily work activities
- Preparation of daily written logs summarizing work activities and observations
- Review of waste storage areas and tracking of waste generated during the project
- Transmittal of daily logs to project managers
Qualifications
- Current C-3/C-5 Certification from Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) formerly known as The Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC)
- 2 years experience performing lead abatement/disturbance monitoring for MTA NYCT related projects
- Valid MTA NYCT Track Safety Training Card
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends based on project schedules
- Experience performing air monitoring on abrasive blasting projects a big
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and vehicle a plus
- Additional asbestos, lead, mold and OSHA Certifications a big
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach working with clients and construction contractors/subcontractor
