Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Dohrn is currently seeking a Lead Forklift Mechanic at our Rock Island, IL location.

    Pay starts at $32.67/Hour with 12 months to Top Scale. 

    Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4 Day work week, 10 hour shifts

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Forklift Mechanics are responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining and repairing Dohrn forklifts.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum age of 18
    • High School completion or equivalent
    • Valid Driver License
    • Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
    • Must pass a NON-Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and functional screen NOTE: CDL-qualified mechanics will be subject to a DOT physical examination
    • Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen; Dohrn Transfer must receive a negative result
    • Experience with forklift maintenance is preferred
    • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintenance of a variety of automotive and mechanical equipment is required
    • Must have previous experience maintaining detailed and routine record keeping
    • Manual dexterity required
    • Must possess knowledge of occupational hazards & standard safety precautions
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customers
    • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
    • Excellent attendance

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and services
    • Support the tire maintenance program
    • Perform service calls
    • Wash and fuel equipment
    • Perform other maintenance duties or assignments
    • Provide assistance to senior technicians
    • Lead the care and upkeep of the Maintenance Shop, grounds, and all equipment and tools
    • Maintain a clean, safe environment that complies with DOT, EPA, OSHA and company standards
    • Complete all required documentation and keep records
    • In conjunction with the Parts Department, assure that all necessary materials, parts, service/shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levels
    • Perform other duties as needed

    WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Overtime may be necessary during peak periods; Must be able to work a varied schedule or travel based on need
    • Heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
    • Subject to both internal and external environmental conditions: work occurs inside and outside; Outside work may be in extreme weather conditions
    • Subject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching for sustained periods of time
    • Subject to noise: there is sufficient noise to require shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level
    • Subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical working conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and exposure to chemicals
    • Subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases
    • Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate machines and motor vehicles
    • The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye
