Auditing Project Lead jobs in Rockford, IL

Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     LSSI is seeking a full time Prevention Specialist to work 40 hours per week for our nonprofit social services organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • The qualified individual will have assigned duties within the program that focus on substance use prevention among junior high and high school students.
    • Job related activities include teaching an evidence based curriculum in area schools, leading a local coalition, and educating community members about the dangers of youth substance use. 

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred.
    • A valid driver’s license.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good computer skills working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
