Auditing Project Lead leads a group of auditors who identify risk, assess performance, prepare financial reports in various complex auditing projects. Schedules audit plans and builds audit criteria, ensures all auditing activities in accordance with organization's policies and standards. Being an Auditing Project Lead prepares auditing reports and suggestions to management. Provides oversight and guidance for auditors and may be responsible for training staff. Additionally, Auditing Project Lead ensures standard auditing practices are followed. Requires a bachelor's degree. May sometimes require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA)credential. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Auditing Project Lead supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Auditing Project Lead typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Responsibilities:
     
    Provides directions to the staff of soft proofers creating an effective atmosphere through leadership, coaching, and development of their team members, and strives to provide the highest quality arts in the industry while at the same time, producing it in a cost-effective, within Jostens manufacturing capabilities. It is accountable for new product development activities that help to meet the company goals and it is also responsible for ensuring support following all quality initiatives. Provides help and assists in all the activities related to the department.
     
    Job Requirements:
     
    • Manage Art operations, supervise soft proofers, and manage resources.
    • Assess staff computer skills and development needs and guide soft proofers.
    • Ensure quality requirements are met supporting and following up quality department initiatives.
    • Ensure customer requirements are met by overseeing product backlogs daily to keep them under control and use this information to make proper decisions.
    • Support all departmental activities and needs.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES – In any job with supervisory responsibilities, the following are an explicit part of the incumbent’s responsibilities and essential functions:

     
    • Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay, and discipline of assigned personnel.
    • communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.
    • Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel continually; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and, where necessary, work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans.
    • Support the development of assigned personnel’s skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance.
    • Identify and resolve skill gaps and succession issues.
    • Manage company policies such as discipline, absenteeism, etc., fairly and equitably, and fully document all incidents and actions taken.
    • Involve assigned HR Generalist on compliance issues such as pay equity, equal opportunity in hiring and promotions, and proper procedures for hiring, terminations, lay-offs, etc.   
     
     
    JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS:  Note that (i) computer literacy and working-level skills with the basic MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer), (ii) good verbal and written communication skills, (iii) good interpersonal skills, and (iv) the ability to work well both individually and in a team, environment are default requirements for all Jostens exempt and salaried nonexempt employees.
     
     
    Required:
    • 4-year college or art school education
    • 5 years’ experience in the art industry/managing projects/supervising
    • Strong computer skills
    • Good composition and design skills and the ability to communicate these skills to others
    • Proven understanding of the product/market space, trends, and manufacturing abilities
    • Good communication skills – frequent contact with customer service and production areas.  Ability to coordinate projects with these functions
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills: ability to motivate, correct, reward, and manage team members
    • Personal time management and priority-setting skills to handle multiple projects
    • Working manager – must be able to help with art requests during high-volume periods
    • Ability to manage artwork projects that support key business initiatives
    • Ability to be a change agent for new artwork tools and techniques
    • English Advance (written and verbal)
     
    Preferred
     
    • Any other design supporting courses
    • Experience with Corel, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator or similar.
    • Artwork production planning, tracking, and quality management skills
