Auditing Supervisor supervises the day-to-day execution of a comprehensive enterprise-wide internal auditing strategy, function, and practice adhering to auditing standards and regulatory requirements. Supports auditing teams with resources, training, expertise, and problem-solving help to complete auditing projects. Being an Auditing Supervisor uses auditing governance frameworks and procedures to plan and manage the auditing schedules, projects, teams, and tasks required to meet defined objectives. Engages with other functions across the enterprise, like risk, finance, information technology, and security, to facilitate audits. Additionally, Auditing Supervisor prepares audit reports, documentation, and recommendations for enhanced controls or processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require or be working towards a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Typically reports to a manager. The Auditing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Auditing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     PURPOSE OF POSITION:  

    The Retail Supervisor I supports retail management by supervising store activities ensuring maximum customer satisfaction, processing of donated goods and periodic daily record keeping of money, sales and inventory.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  (Position may perform some or all of the duties described below.):

    • Assist in supervising all staff and store activities in an orderly and professional manner as to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and to provide maximum security and protection of donated merchandise.
    • Timely and accurate processing of incident reports for HR, Safety, WC, and Loss Prevention, closing reports, production reports, employee logs and all other necessary reports as necessary; generally, to be completed within one hour.
    • Fulfill and supervise production functions such as: store opening and closing processes, tracking and documentation of production goals, auditing of employee work efforts, and other production areas. 
    • Responsible to sell merchandise to the general public, display merchandise on sales floor, provide all necessary customer service while projecting a positive image during public contact.  
    • Assist in cash register functions and transactions including:  sales, over rings, voids, correct pricing, inventory control and receipting to customers.  Also, responsible for register cash fund including: deposits, drops, and store change fund counts and accounting for overages and shortages. Ensure correct check acceptance policies and debit/credit card activities.
    • Address customer needs by immediately resolving conflict and inspiring long-term customer relationships.
    • Responsible for the cash register fund including before and after counts, daily reports and accounting for overages and shortages.  
    • Perform necessary record keeping and reporting of money, sales and production in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Enforce and effectively communicate company policies and procedures to all personnel.
    • Report and document safety hazards, potentially hazardous conditions, and unsafe practices and procedures so that they may be addressed appropriately throughout the organization. 
    • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
    • Maintain confidentiality and cooperative working relationships at all times.
    • Maintain professional, polite and positive relationship with clients, customers, and coworkers at all times. 
    • Enforce and effectively communicate company policies and procedures to all personnel.
    • Follow all employment, safety and loss prevention policies and procedures and always enforce safe and secure working conditions.  
    • Responsible to work safely at all times and to report all workplace injuries, accidents, or near misses to supervisor and/or Safety Manager.
    • Report any incident of theft, fraud, waste or unauthorized possession of company property.
    • Perform other duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team and/or mission


    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a minimum of 6 months experience in a Material Handler II or Retail Clerk II position, or equivalent external experience to be considered.
    • Have the ability to read and write.
    • Knowledge of basic math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages.  
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees, clients, and the public.
    • Valid California driver’s license preferred, liability insurance, and a DMV record acceptable to Goodwill's insurance company.
