Our company, Automaxx of the Carolinas in Summerville, SC, is currently hiring for a full-time Automobile Locksmith to help service and maintain keys and locks. This position earns a competitive wage of $14.00 - $27.50/hour, depending on experience.

DAY-TO-DAY

This automotive position is full-time and typically works between the hours of 9 AM - 6 PM on weekdays and every other Saturday.

As an Automobile Locksmith, you are responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of both automotive and standard locks. You handle a variety of shop work, including copying keys, re-keying, picking locks, and cutting to code. Additionally, you assist with lockouts using vehicle entry tools. You also create automotive keys and program transponders. As you work, you make sure to keep accurate timesheets, track service call tickets, and manage inventory items. With your experience, you provide leadership to our Locksmith Apprentice. You love helping people each day and take pride in the work you do!

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN AUTOMOBILE LOCKSMITH

• Experience with lock mechanisms and systems, including automotive locks
• Experience with and knowledge about key equipment
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
