As a Commercial Estimator at Perfect Touch Fencing, you will play a crucial role in our project development process. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with commercial construction projects, ensuring that our bids are competitive and profitable. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
- Conducting thorough material take-offs and labor assessments to determine project costs.
- Soliciting and evaluating subcontractor bids and quotes.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects to clarify project details and requirements.
- Analyzing project risks and opportunities and adjusting estimates accordingly.
- Preparing comprehensive and competitive bid proposals within specified deadlines.
- Participating in pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Maintaining accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documentation on Quickbooks.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Commercial Estimator in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift) is a plus.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for recordkeeping and Planning.
Must have a valid Driver License to travel in the state of Texas.
