We are looking for the right individual. A background in Civil Construction is preferred but not required. Must be able to read Design Plans. As a Civil Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications, estimating costs, and providing accurate bid proposals. Your expertise will help us make informed decisions, win projects, and ensure their successful execution.
Responsibilities:
Project Evaluation: Review and analyze construction project plans, specifications, and related documents.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions, identify potential challenges, and gather essential information.
Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Utilize cost estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive project budgets.
Bid Proposal: Develop clear and competitive bid proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate bid packages.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to include in project estimates.
Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and availability.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities associated with each project.
Provide input on risk mitigation strategies to support project success.
Cost Tracking and Reporting: Assist in tracking project costs and budget variances throughout the construction phase.
Generate reports to communicate cost analysis and project status to project stakeholders.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate estimates and successful project execution.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and consultants as needed to clarify project requirements.
