Zolman's Best One Tire & Auto Care Seeking a full time Automotive Technician Locally owned and operated, Zolman Tire, Inc. has serviced the automotive and tire needs of customers throughout the Michiana area since 1978. Over the years we have expanded into eight retail locations in Mishawaka, IN, Granger, IN, South Bend, IN, Niles, MI, Kalamazoo, MI, Portage, MI and four commercial tire and fleet repair locations in Mishawaka, South Bend, Kalamazoo, and Benton Harbor.

We are seeking a qualified mechanic for our Kalamazoo, MI retail location who values safety and teamwork. Hourly requirements are 8:00AM-5:00PM M-F. If you are enthusiastic about the automotive repair industry, reliable, and have a positive attitude, please apply

Essential Functions:

Perform automotive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative Maintenace.

For vehicles: Inspect vehicles using inspection forms and report potential repairs to supervisor, perform basic maintenance and repair as directed.

Equipment: Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic lifts or floor jacks and proper use of jack stands if required.

Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and/or torque sticks

Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment

Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks

Perform general housekeeping duties

Physical Demands:

Frequently lift/carry/move 20-50 lbs.

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling.

Experience: 5 years of demonstrated vehicle repair experience preferred

Certifications / Licenses:

Valid driver's license; driving record must meet company's insurance requirements

Ongoing training is required per company's standards

Michigan Mechanics License / ASE Certification
