Automotive Mechanic jobs in Tucson, AZ
Automotive Mechanic performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles and light trucks. Performs major repairs like body work, chassis and engine repair, and disassembling and assembling components. Being an Automotive Mechanic also performs minor repairs and maintenance work such as replacing worn drive belts, hoses, and filters. Helps diagnose issues, uses electronic indicator systems to identify problems, and performs routine safety checks on brakes, suspension, exhaust, cooling, and other systems. Additionally, Automotive Mechanic adheres to appropriate safety procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically requires a Certificate in Automotive Technology. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Automotive Mechanic works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Automotive Technician/Mechanic Job Responsibilities
- Properly diagnose and repair automotive concerns bumper to bumper.
- Conducting thorough inspections, recommending needed repairs as well as maintenance needs.
- Comply with manufacturer specifications and guidelines throughout the repair/servicing process.
- Work well with other technicians on the Service Team.

Qualifications
Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications
- 3 years of experience of prior automotive repair experience.
- Personal Tools.
- Driver’s License.
- ASE certification is not required but is a plus.
Corporate hiring requirements: 18 years or older with a clean driving record, valid driver's license, able to pass criminal background and drug screen.
