ESA is seeking a mid-level Project Manager & Aviation Specialist to support day-to-day client needs related to a variety of technical evaluations, feasibility studies, analyses and tasks including aviation planning, environmental planning, noise and land use planning, and sustainability. Our ideal candidate has 10 years of experience, but candidates with 5-10 years of experience who meet the qualifications will also be considered. Candidates with an environmental background strongly preferred, but not required.

Who You Are
You are able to work onsite in Ft Lauderdale, Florida and surrounding airports as needed, hybrid 2-3 days a week
Preferably, you have an environmental and/or environmental land development background, but not required.
You have a strong interest in the aviation industry and desire to increase your knowledge and experience with a variety of aspects/disciplines related to the aviation industry.
You are an independent, self-directed problem solver.
You have experience working under tight deadlines and responding to the immediate needs of clients and an interest in fostering/growing client relationships.
You have experience managing complex tasks or projects, including tracking project schedules and deliverables.
You can work on multiple projects simultaneously with effective project management skills and a proven track record.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree with major course work in aviation planning/management, environmental or physical/natural sciences, land use management, or a related field.
Must be able to pass a 10-year federal background check required for airport security badging.
Highly proficient with MS Office applications.
You have experience developing and giving presentations.
You have strong organization and technical writing skills.
What You Will Do for ESA
Support and manage our airport client(s) day-to-day project needs including potentially serving as on-site staff extension.
Work within a close-knit team of planners, scientists, and other technical specialists, including subconsultants, while contributing to a wide array of challenging and exciting aviation projects.
Assist in the preparation of aviation planning documents, environmental analyses and technical reports, permit applications and compliance, and other project documentation.
Consistently demonstrate solid communication and attentive listening skills and participate in or lead meetings with ESA staff and our airport clients.
Thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment and be able to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines, while working on a team or independently.
May work on non-aviation projects, as needed.
ESA has established multiple pay ranges tailored to the economic factors in the geographies in which ESA staff reside. For this position with 5 years of experience, the range is $79,684 - $119,527 annually based on our anticipated hiring locations as noted in the above job details. If hired at a more advanced level with 10 years of experience, the position range is $95,108 - $142,662 annually based on our anticipated hiring location as noted in the above job details. Actual compensation is determined by many factors including an individual’s related experience, education, skills, and the city where the applicant lives.
