Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
