Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Aviation Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     RELOCATION REQUIRED to Northern California
     
    Q&D Construction, a top-ranked general contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to be part of our Aviation Group team. This person will support field project management staff and lead components of a terminal expansion project in the Northern California region. Proficiency with Procore, Primavera and Blue Beam is strongly desired. Aviation-related business experience a plus but not required.
     
    Q&D’s Aviation Group focuses on work in and at airports in the U.S. which includes new terminal buildings, support facilities, tenant improvements, equipment upgrades, vendor (concessionaire, leaseholder) build-outs, and airline-specific construction activities like: branding and signage, gate relocations, ticketing and check-in configurations, and their back-of-house facilities at airports. The Q&D team of project managers, project engineers, and superintendents work together in over 100 airports across the United States. Q&D works alongside our clients, within the framework and layers of regulations, restrictions and initiatives, to develop the most advantageous and cost-effective solution on their behalf. Please note that this position requires an extensive amount of travel.
     
    Please note that this position requires relocation to a site in Northern California (or a current resident from the area).
     
    Requirements
    • Two-year or four-year degree in any field or the equivalent field experience
    • Five or more solid years of construction management experience
    • Two to three years of supervisory experience, leading a staff team of multiple managers, project engineers, administrators
    • Aptitude and ability to control cost and schedule in a strict regulatory environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
    • As mentioned possible relocation
