Aviation Manager manages overall aviation operations focused on operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory and organizational operating policies, procedures, and standards. Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Aviation Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Description

    Our General Manager is pivotal in overseeing the airport's overall operations and management. This position involves strategic planning and coordination of various departments, including ground handling, passenger services, maintenance, and security, to ensure efficient and safe airport operations. You are responsible for liaising with airline partners, regulatory bodies, and government agencies, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and standards. You will also focus on financial management, business development, and customer satisfaction to enhance the airport's reputation and profitability.

    • Physical activity may include:
    • Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time, with occasional mobility in an office environment

    • Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of adaptive technologies or methods as necessary

    Qualifications

    • Minimum age of 18 years old
    • 10 years of experience in airport or aviation management, including leadership roles
    • Strong understanding of aviation regulations, operational safety, and security protocols
    • Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and team leadership
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of the Aviation Industry
    • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
    • Ability to pass a drug screen
    • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
