Develops plans and schedules skill development and training sessions for pilots, crews, and operators. Being a Aviation Manager ensures all operations follow and comply with current FAA regulations, airworthiness, and safety standards. Oversees flight scheduling, aircraft maintenance, and inspection operations. Additionally, Aviation Manager applies risk management best practices for safety to assess and manage operations May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Aviation Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. A Day In The Life of an Accessory Shop Mechanic I
As an Accessory Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing high-quality maintenance of aircraft turbine engines. Being an Accessory Shop Mechanic I have limited experience in the overhaul and calibration of hydro-mechanical and pneumatic turbine engine accessories. As an Aviation Mechanic for these accessories, the key duties are to be proficient with all aspects of accessory repair and overhaul involving:
Essential Duties of The Accessory Shop Mechanic I
- Assembly and disassembly.
- Inspection.
- Repair.
- Subassembly testing and calibration.
- Test bench set-up and operation.
- Effective and accurate use of tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot/practical problem-solving skills.
- Supported by Level II or III mechanic or Assistant Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to interpret technical data and drawings.
- Push/pull items that could weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Read/write English.
- Require safe, organized, and clean work areas.
- A&P or equivalent experience through a combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of practical experience with overhaul and repair of turbine engines.
- J-85 engine is a plus.
- Proficient with the English language to interpret and follow various technical data.
Education:- High school diploma or GED.
