Job Responsibilities:
Manages site activities.
Manages the execution of site operations to ensure that projects are completed in a safe and timely manner.
Administrates operations and activities to detect unsafe conditions or actions and takes action to correct them.
Meets with the project manager regularly to ensure deadlines are being met.
Ensures all work complies with company and government regulations.
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
Manage day-to-day program operations including aircraft maintenance and logistic support (supply, training, facilities, support equipment, etc.)
Coordinate and manage the technical and administrative operations and all other aspects of the program to ensure timely submission of program deliverables to meet specified operational requirements.
Provide assistance, technical expertise, and training to site personnel in the support of the program.
Support OJT and cross training of site personnel according to the contract requirements.
Plans, coordinates and supervises all site level activities and serves as the principal representative for Akima in all matters pertaining to site operations, and continually measures and analyzes progress.
Communicates new requirements, concerns, and issues to PMO for resolution.
Minimum Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of operations specific to the MH-60/MH-47.
Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels.
Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.
Ability to qualify for and maintain a U.S. Secret Security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Two (2) years experience in a related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Proven expertise in aviation system maintenance/logistic support.
Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising maintenance on complex turbine aircraft.
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to coordinate material, information, and/or people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort.
Ability to coordinate and lead complex projects.
Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situations.
Skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $105,000 – The salary offered to the successful candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, work experience, and their ability to meet the known requirements of the position as determined at the time of hire. Job location will also be a factor in determining the salary offered.
