This newly created full-time position is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to work for a niche helicopter contractor serving the electric utility industry. The role is an integral part of our accounting team in Gettysburg, PA, supporting our corporate office in Indiana. The right candidate will have the ability to maintain confidentiality, problem solve, and work independently.

• Supports accounting operations by entering accounts payable, accounts receivable invoices and monitoring payments.
• Verifies payroll reports and reconcile to job costing.
• Reconcile account charges to daily logs for head count and equipment.
• Creates reports for accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll activity for management as necessary.
• Reconcile credit card activity with receipts and code to appropriate accounts.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains accounting records by making copies and filing documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Accounting Clerk Qualifications/Skills:

• Familiarity with financial software
• General knowledge of accounting terminology and concepts
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Reporting skills
• Typing proficiency
• Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Accounting formal training or college classes preferred.
• 2 Years of previous experience in an accounting function required.
