We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to install, maintain and repair Bakery Equipment systems. The Maintenance Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate parts and systems to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for the maintenance of systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs as part of a larger team
Essential Functions
Installing, maintaining and repairing systems and equipment.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for systems.
Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions, and customers' requirements.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
The environment is a production facility with multiple bakery production systems, mixers, ovens, and conveyors. Work is of a typical manufacturing facility nature and involves some travel. Work is completed on behalf of Liscio's Italian Bakery in all cases and is not done for third-party clients.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional overtime hours may be required. Weekends and holidays mandatory.
Required Education and Experience
*High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
*1 year experience as a Maintenance technician, and willingness to continue education in Maintenance field.
*3 year experience as and Bakery Mechanical technician, and willingness to continue education in the Maintenance field with valid references.
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
* Valid driver's license
*Working knowledge of boiler systems.
*Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
*Problem-solving skills and strong independent work ethic.
*Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
*Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
*Ability to work in confined spaces
