Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager assists in the management of the loan processing operations team that originates, processes, and closes various types of loans. Implements processes and procedures to maintain accuracy and completeness of required documentation. Being a Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager monitors achievement of operating performance metrics and standards for speed, quality, and customer service. Develops solutions to resolve operational issues. Additionally, Banking & Commercial Loan Processing Manager oversees the preparation of reporting for internal departments and external agencies. As the Commercial Operations Loan Closer, you will be a critical member of the commercial client relationship team that is responsible for ensuring loans with complex loan structures or documentation requirements are closed and documented in accordance with the Citizens credit approval policy. You will be responsible for accurately booking loans into the loan accounting system, performing appropriate due diligence tasks, reviewing operational risk components, and ensuring conditions are met prior to closing or funding a loan with a particular focus on Small Business Administration (SBA), Securities Based Lending (SBL) and other niche financing. You will function as a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements and will perform these functions under the supervision of a Team Leader and/or Manager. Primary responsibilities include
Knowledge of Federal regulations, loan documentation terms and conditions including credit agreements, notes, guarantees, and collateral is required as you will act as a gate keeper for certain compliance and reporting requirements.
Responsible for ensuring loans are closed and documented in accordance with the Citizens credit approval procedure.
Accurately booking the loan to the loan accounting system.
Successfully manage a loan pipeline of 25 transactions; communicating clearly and timely to partners and customers on status and conditions.
Supports regular program activities such as SBA 1502 reporting, internal and external reviews and procedure review and maintenance
Perform appropriate due diligence tasks, review operational risk components, and ensure conditions precedent are met prior to closing or funding a loan.
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in order to interact efficiently and effectively with internal business partners, legal counsel and clients.
Reconcile Loan Accounting Recon account for assigned loans.
Manage and clear post-closing legal documentation exceptions in compliance with bank policy.
Implement effective controls and proactively initiate action over key client indicators and managing loan closings within established Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
Required Skills/Experience:
3 years of relevant experience in a business/commercial lending environment with knowledge of Small Business Administration, practices and policies.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Highly motivated and team-oriented.
Ability to manage and resolve moderately complex problems.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively manage a pipeline of credits, independently prioritizing activities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a time sensitive environment while maintaining service level agreements.
Experience with AFS, Relay, Laser Pro and Content Manager are all pluses.
Education:
High School or equivalent (GED) required
Associate's Degree or higher is preferred
Hours and Work Schedule:
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
