Position: Assistant General Manager
Status: Salary/Full-time/Exempt
Reports to: General Manager
Compensation: $37,000 to $41,000 a year plus commission
The Workout Club’s Assistant General Manager is responsible for working with the Club General Manager for the overall operational and sales performance of the club. The Assistant General Manager will help ensure the smooth and efficient operational procedures within all departments enabling the club to provide the highest level of customer service. He/She will demonstrate an aptitude and command of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the Workout Club brand. Both the General Manager and the Assistant General Manager will work hand in hand with their team to guarantee performance excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· The Assistant General Manager will play an active role in assisting all departments to run efficiently and communicates regularly with department heads regarding any concerns or support needed for the club.
· Supervises all employees at front desk & kids’ corner and ensures that they are following the clubs procedures/policies.
· Assist the General Manager and Regional Manager in managing all outside contractors, vendors and housekeeping staff ensuring the functionality of all pool and club related equipment.
· Attends weekly management meetings with corporate staff to present their club’s performance and overview of the current club status.
· Assists Aquatics Director for the successful operation of the Aquatics pools & department.
· Be available to answer emergency related club issues as needed.
· Assist the General Manager and Regional Manager to ensure that out-of-order equipment is properly taken off-line, repairs are scheduled, and equipment is functioning in a timely manner.
· Personally, ensures a walk-through of the club daily to ensure that the equipment, locker rooms and overall facility maintenance are meeting The Workout Club standards.
· Oversees all areas of the front desk and Kids Corner employee schedules, inventory control, and assisting the Regional Manager with ordering.
· Open and or close the club when necessary and will be responsible for covering any shifts.
· Be flexible with work hours and or days depending on staffing issues. The club is open 4:30am-10pm Mon-Thurs, 4:30am-9pm Fri, 6am-6pm Sat/Sun.
