    Our client,* a regional bank in Columbia, SC, is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Deposit Operations Specialist* to join their centralized back-office operations team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research and Exception Handling: Proactively investigate and resolve exceptions related to item processing and online data. Thoroughly research issues from initiation to resolution, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the problem.
    • NSF/Exception Item Processing: Manage and resolve NSF and exception item processing efficiently, adhering to established rules and regulations.
    • ACH Processing: Handle ACH unposted items and returns in accordance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
    • General Ledger Reconciliation: Perform general ledger error resolution and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
    • Online Product Familiarity: Demonstrate proficiency with online products such as bill pay, mobile deposits, and ATM deposits to support a seamless customer experience.

    Skills and Experience:

    • Item Processing and Online Research: Extensive experience in item processing and the ability to conduct thorough online research to resolve complex issues.
    • FED Cash Letter Adjustments: Proficiency in handling FED Cash Letter adjustments to ensure compliance with banking standards.
    • ACH Processing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of ACH processing, including unposted items and returns, following industry regulations.
    • Detail-Oriented Problem Solver: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to resolving issues accurately and efficiently.
