POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting with oversight of all operational functions of the branch network for the Boone County and Audrain County markets of Central Bank. Implements and ensures policy and procedures for branch operations, audits to ensure compliance. Responsible for the Safe Deposit/Sales Force area and branch operations for both markets.
DUTIES, SCOPE, RESPONSIBLIITIES & AUTHORITY:
Assists with operational functions of the Consumer Banking division of Central Bank of Boone County and Central Bank of Audrain County and ensuring 18 branches operate efficiently within an appropriate level of risk. Serves as a resource to employees within the markets and to the company. Responsible for safe deposit operations, sales force administration and operational tasks. Assists with oversight of branch operations for all branches. Oversight includes regular audits to ensure compliance with established procedure and making recommendations for procedure changes when necessary to protect the bank from risk. Must have complete knowledge of all teller and vault operations, currency and negotiable items, cash handling, 25 ATM's, general ledger reconciliation, audit procedures, proof operations, and safe deposit.
Works with customers and employees in risk or loss situations. Researches and reports fraudulent, and breach of policy acts to Operations Officer and other management and communicates facts and details when events occur. May work with various vendors, including Oppliger, Hydeman, Tipton Systems, and Cummins related to branch equipment and Brinks related to armored car services as needed.
Responsibility for the safe deposit area includes, but is not limited to, setting procedures, limiting risk, audits, billing/pricing, and ensuring compliance with procedures. Responsibility for the sales force administrator includes, but is not limited to, ensuring proper sales reporting is completed, employee training and assistance, identifying trends, and communicating with Regional Sales Managers. Responsibility for the operations area includes, but is not limited to, ensuring monthly tasks are completed accurately and timely, audits and other policies and procedures are followed, customer incentive tracking, and teller offages.
Responsible for compliance with all banking regulations which are applicable to the job, including Bank Secrecy Act and information security initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a member of the Consumer Banking Management team and assist with oversight of operations of the Consumer Banking division, ensuring operational policies and procedures are followed. Supervises the work of the Operations Assistant and the Safe Deposit & Sales Reporting Management Administrator. Promotes team atmosphere providing Legendary Service to both customers and coworkers while confirming branch operations are in accordance with branch control manual standards.
Interacts with other bank employees to complete customer and employee requests. Provides Legendary Service to customers, and coworkers, while establishing strong relationships. Provides a model of accuracy, service, teamwork, collaboration, and efficiency for others.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Prior auditing experience preferred.
Experience in consumer banking area recommended. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Excellent planning and organizational skills are required. Must have excellent collaboration skills and the ability to think strategically. Must be able to interact with management, peers, and employees and be a team player. Banking experience is preferred.
