    Position requires availability to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

    Summary:

    SUMMARY: With limited direction, the Private Banking Manager is accountable for developing and administering strategies and operational plans to grow Private Banking at the local bank within its market territory. The successful candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of banking and asset management. The incumbent directs and implements the vision of private banking at the local bank. Duties are primarily new business oriented and managing the private banking team to work closely with the bank president and senior management team. Incumbent will guide team members to use the bank’s available resources to maximize revenue growth across all lines of business within the bank group. Must be an active participant in civic and public relations activities that provides new business for the bank and further development of relationships with existing customers.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Manage the Private Banking department in setting goals for deposit, loan and wealth management production as well as evaluating performance to established goals.
    • Develop business development programs specific to Private Bankers within the local bank.
    • Review all Private Banking deposit and loan production by month, and by Private Banker.
    • Lead all sales meetings for the Private Banking department.
    • Ensure team members participate in CFB programs or other bank programs as considered necessary.
    • Monitor the quality and performance of the Private Banking loan portfolio.
    • Monitor the revenue contribution within the investment portfolio provided by client advisers assigned to the private banking team.
    • Monitor customer surveys for detection of customer service satisfaction or improvement needs.
    • Follow consumer complaint procedures as outlined by compliance. Help resolve bank complaints and/or concerns as directed by senior management or compliance
    • Develop the department budget. Appropriately forecast expenses and ensure that the Private Banking department expenses remain within budget.
    • If assigned a loan portfolio, criteria described in Senior Private Banker must be met.
    • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

    TEAM ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Cross-sell other services of the bank.
    • Support and uphold the Arvest Mission Statement.
    • Uphold the Arvest Code of Ethics and ensure that confidential information is safeguarded.
    • Maintain a high level of cooperation and rapport with all associates in order to ensure accurate and efficient operations and service.
    • Formulate and communicate new ideas and suggestions that will improve profitability and efficiency for the bank's overall operation.
    • Foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.
    • Maintain involvement in community affairs to foster and promote the proper bank image at all times.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervise two or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



    Responsibilities:

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
    • 10 years previous related experience with emphasis in wealth management or 7 years Arvest lending experience required.
    • Completion of CFB4 within 6 months of hire.
    • Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or the ability to be registered within 30 days required.
    • Proven ability to develop and build fully banked relationships required.
    • Exceptional consultative skills preferred: ability to probe, listen, clarify and present information to advance sales transactions, deepen relationships required.
    • Financial designation such as CFP, Series 7, 66 and insurance licensed, Certified Wealth Strategist or other accredited banking certifications required.
    • Advanced knowledge of lending and wealth management strategies required.
    • Master’s degree preferred.
    • Maintain professional certifications, if any.
    • Participation and/or completion of graduate school of banking or similar education preferred.
