    Customer Experience

    • CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT: collaborates with the leadership team in cultivating terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform, and to appreciate our customer
    • OMNI-CHANNEL SERVICE: delivers a seamless, multi-channel shopping experience through expertise in omni applications to efficiently get the product to the floor; prioritizes online order processing to exceed customer expectations
    • STORE ENVIRONMENT: participates in supporting visual priorities, facility standards, nursery maintenance, and custodial tasks to upkeep a safe and inspiring store environment for the customer

    Leadership Team Management

    • STOCKROOM OWNERSHIP: oversees organizational standards in the back of house and exercises creative decision-making to impact organization and efficiency; facilitates the sharing of relevant information regarding shipment and back of house organization with the team
    • TEAM DEVELOPMENT: supports new employee onboarding for operational team hires ensuring process understanding and proper equipment handling; provides training to staff and management on all areas of operations, including receiving, facilities, nursery operations, supplies, shipping, and deliveries
    • MENTORSHIP: embraces a culture of development by protecting time to discuss personal growth with direct reports; proactive in setting goals and delivering feedback ensuring success of all members of the team

    Visual Business Operations

    • PRODUCT FLOW: proactively prepares for and leads product flow processes which include shipment receipt, processing, tagging, and preparing product for floor placement; understands how the merchant process impacts business and prioritizes product flow accordingly
    • RECEIVING FUNDAMENTALS: oversees unloading and check in of all delivery trucks, including plant material, home store product, and supplies; maintains record for all receiving paperwork for inventory integrity
    • SITE MAINTENANCE: guides the operational support associates on executing interior and exterior maintenance, nursery tasks, and building repairs; communicates with the Facilities department to ensure quick resolutions for all issues requiring external vendors
    • BUSINESS ACUMEN: adheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

    Communication Relationships

    • STORE COMMUNITY: contributes to an inclusive and people-first philosophy; engages with employees at all levels to encourage open dialogue, reinforce follow through, and ensure that the store team is heard and supported
    • TEAM COMMUNICATION: checks in with leadership to maintain communication and teamwork on completing operational objectives; stays current on brand communication and ensures important company information reaches all levels of the team
    • FEEDBACK LOOP: provides receiving insights related to plant quality, shipment overages/shortages, damages, sku issues, and packaging standards; communicates insights and feedback to store and brand leadership
